Revelations on the Power of How One Person Can Change the World!

By

Dr Joshua David Stone

My Beloved Readers, this is a chapter I have greatly been looking forward to writing for sometime now and I am so very pleased that the time has arrived to actually sit down and channel and write it. The title of this chapter is very dear to my heart, for I believe and know in my heart and soul the power that even just one person can have to change the world. Now the first thing I think of when I think of this is the life of Jesus/Sananda; look at the influence he has had on the Earth and he only lived for 33 years in that lifetime, isn’t that amazing!

There are others such as Buddha, Moses, Mohammed, Lao Tse, Krishna, and so on! We are all aware of stories of these great and noble lives and I do not need to write about them here for I have done so in my other books.

I this chapter I am going to share with you two examples of less famous people that, quite honestly, saved the world from total destruction! I have a story to tell you which, when I first heard it, I was moved beyond words and I immediately said to myself I have to write about this, and now, my friends, that time has come!

I was watching a newsmagazine show on television, as I very much like to do on occasion, and I saw a story that totally blew my mind and which fit perfectly with the title of this chapter—“Revelations on the Power of How One Person Can Change the World”!

This television news report was about an event that took place in 1972 when the Cold War was still going on between the United States and the Soviet Union. At that time, before the downfall of Communism in the Soviet Union, both countries had thousands of nuclear missiles pointed at each other. We both had sophisticated radar systems monitoring those nuclear missiles in case either one of our countries ever launched an attack.

As the story unfolded, the Soviet Union radar system picked up a single missile heading from the United States to the Soviet Union! The entire Soviet military went on red alert! As we all know, the Cold War was very intense at this time and we all know what took place ten years previous during the Cuban missile crisis when John F. Kennedy set up a blockade of Cuba. We all know how close we came to nuclear destruction just 10 years previous.

As this story was told on television, the hard liners in the Soviet military actually thought the United States had sent a missile, and they were telling the Soviet president to be prepared in a matter of ten to fifteen minutes to send an all out nuclear strike against the United States. Because they thought the missile was on the way, they did not have a lot of time to make a decision for the missile would soon make impact.

One engineer, who did not have a high-ranking position in the Soviet government but was one of the key engineers of the computer radar system that the Soviets were using, was immediately called and was asked his opinion of what he thought was happening. This lone, small time engineer could not believe the United States would be sending a single missile to attack the Soviet Union and he was concerned that it was some kind of radar/computer glitch. The hard liners in the government were pushing him for his final answer. His intuition, and it was just an intuition and gut feeling, was that something was wrong with their radar system, but he had absolutely no proof whatsoever. Now in this TV show, they actually interviewed the man and he told the story as he experienced it, and it was gripping to say the least. As he told the story: all of a sudden on the radar screen five more missiles appeared heading from the United States to the Soviet Union. Now the hard liners were telling the Soviet president he had to respond with a full-scale, all out nuclear attack against the United States. It was no longer one missile, it was now five! Since this one Soviet engineer knew more about the engineering aspect of their radar system, he was asked his opinion again by the Soviet president. The president literally did not have more than ten minutes to make his decision if he should launch all his nuclear missiles. If he did, all the major cities in the United States would have been destroyed and there would have been nuclear radiation spreading over the entire United States. This lone engineer could not find anything mechanically wrong with the radar system; however, he just had an intuition and feeling that the system was not giving them an accurate reading. However, he could not prove it with any scientific evidence, and in the final moments when he had to give his advice on this fleeting intuition and gut feeling, he told them not to trust the radar screen and to not launch a full scale retaliatory nuclear strike against the United States! Ten more minutes went by and the missiles from the United States, according to the radar, were about to hit, and then they all of a sudden disappeared from the screen and they found out that they we not missiles but sun flares of some kind!

If this one, lowly engineer had not said what he said, if he had not trusted his gut feeling and ignored the radar screen, the United States and the Soviet Union and the world as we know it would have been destroyed. For when the United States saw the missiles coming form the Soviet Union, they would have sent their thousands of nuclear missiles back. I do not need to explain or describe what would have taken place to the Earth with thousands of nuclear bombs exploding in the United States and Soviet Union!

If this were not already something that could have only been a scene in a science fiction movie and not in real life, it gets even more unbelievable. For when the rest of the military and hard liners found out that this small-time engineer did not trust the radar system and gave advice not to send the missiles, he was arrested and beat up by the Soviet government as a criminal of some kind. He lost his job and was living almost in poverty when he was being interviewed in some frozen wasteland in Siberia. Here is a man who literally saved the world from nuclear destruction and he was arrested, beat up by the Soviet government, fired from his position, and sent to live in Siberia on a poverty level amount of money! Now if you don’t think the government officials and military were capable of attacking the United States, consider how disturbed the Soviet government was by the actions taken here. This man should have been acclaimed as a national and global hero who literally single-handedly saved the entire world from nuclear annihilation, and look what the Soviet government did! They were actually angry that a full-scale nuclear strike did not take place, although it was their radar screen that was on the blink. If this were not the case, how can one explain their actions toward this one small-time, lone engineer who saved the world and should be congratulated beyond belief, but instead is arrested and fired from his job! The entire world has no idea the debt it owes to this one unknown Soviet man who chose to trust his intuition and gut feelings over technology. My friends, does this not sound like Atlantis revisited! We came within a heartbeat of living out this exact same scenario a second time on this planet and this is not science fiction, this actually happened! Is this not an amazing story? What was so amazing about this television show is that they actually found this guy in Siberia, and since the Cold War had ended now, he was able to actually tell what happened in his own words. It was unbelievable!

Now, my friends, do you see why I was looking forward to writing this chapter! I had to tell this story! If the Soviet Union will not give him the credit he deserves, I am going to make it my mission to give him the recognition he deserves.

This one lowly person who no one had ever heard of saved the world and all of our lives on Earth! For he trusted his intuition and feelings over technology, and look what he got for it in this backward world!

Now since I am sharing about how one person can change the world I would be remiss if I did not mention the roll John F. Kennedy played ten years earlier. We all know the story but it bears repeating. It is not that dissimilar to the preceding story. When the naval blockade was put up during the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Soviet Union hard liners and Krushev went ballistic. The hard liners were ready for all-out nuclear war. The hard liners in the United States were no better! They were as disturbed as the Soviets were. They see life through the lens of the military and the negative ego, and in that lens of reality you either crush your opponent or you are crushed. There is no unconditional love concept in the military! If we had a president who was more conservative in nature, nuclear war would have most probably taken place. Even the Congress at that time took a hard line position. Regardless of your political persuasion, the willingness of John F. Kennedy to be flexible and work out a behind the scenes deal of removing U.S. missiles from Turkey in exchange for the Soviet Union dismantling the missiles in Cuba, literally saved the world from a nuclear holocaust. The hard liners in the military on both sides wanted war. If any military action had been taken by the United States when the Cubans fired upon by them and when a plane was shot down by the Cubans, that would have caused a nuclear holocaust. John F Kennedy refused to attack back, even though the United States was attacked! The military, the hard liners, and the Congress were out of control and seeing the situation from the negative ego’s eyes and did not have the self-mastery, negative ego control, or restraint to prevent what was about to take place. Regardless of one’s politics, the world holds a great debt to the centeredness, calmness, and self-restraint John F. Kennedy showed under astronomical stress and pressure. For prior to the aforementioned incident, the Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world had come to total destruction since Atlantis.
